Tips and Strategies In 2062 Neo-Berlin, young Tina and her companion robot SAM have been tasked by Tina’s missing father to save the world. Welcome to the Encodya trophy walkthrough! I'm also happy to hear that the loading screens will be far shorter in the finished game, that was quite frustrating! Especially when I realised that I'd gone to the wrong location and needed to go in the other direction instead.Missable trophies: 0, with the walkthrough (Otherwise, several) :) )Īnyway, it's your game and you're entitled to make it however you like - I will still buy and play it regardless! :) Those are just my thoughts on the subject. (I know there is already a kind of hint system, in that the characters can ask each other "What should we do now?", but that doesn't always help in actually finding the interactables you need. A system that involves a bit more effort than just pressing a single button to see everything at once, but still allows some guidance for players who are getting really frustrated with not finding something they need? Perhaps an option might be to add some kind of hint system? It might be something that recharges slowly so you can't spam it on every scene, and perhaps could involve the player solving a little puzzle or something to be able to access it. If you plan to make the objects a little more visible then that will probably help! I don't mind a certain amount of "mouse roaming" to find things to look more closely at, but it can get frustrating if the item you need is really small and you have to find the exact spot. It seemed to be easier to spot things in older games, they often just stood out a little bit from the environment because the backgrounds were generally less detailed than in today's games. Games look beautiful, but objects to be found/interacted with seem to blend into the background far better than in the old days. I think, though, that perhaps part of why pixel-hunting has become a bit of a drag in modern P&C games is that graphics are so much better these days. Originally posted by Chaosmonger Studio:Developer here! They were quite funny, shame that so few people will see them since they are so well hidden. And I have found those 2 missing secrets (tribute and the TV icon from times when movies were cool). We are also working on having some "pre-loads" of the levels nearby, so you can have an almost instant transition in some cases. All of this, without losing the charm of a 2D approach, but instead having way smoother animations and an overall smoother gameplay (as well as faster loading times!). The full game is 2.5D (3D models on 2D backgrounds, you can check some YouTube videos to see how it looks like), so instead of loading hundreds of MB of sprites, it just loads a few of 3D meshes. Meaning that if in the demo the loading time was 10 seconds, it's now 2! This because the demo is all in 2D, therefore it loads TONS of sprites. Now the loading time is about 5X faster than in the demo. Regarding the loading times, I'm happy to tell you that they have been improved a lot. So regarding the "show hotspots", I'm not very keen on it (as I replied earlier). I have tested 12 demo vesions during steam festival and only Encodya ended up on my wishlist. ![]() The other thing I didn't write and I should is that I also really liked the demo. I have forgotten to mention about this at first. Originally posted by majkel2111:Yes, as Karrolanth said, please improve loading times, they are really annoying. And again, the secrets will be different in the full game, not so "hidden". We might have something slightly different if porting for consoles.Ģ) The other two secrets of the demo are in the "Dark Alley", I don't want to spoil them, but those are truly old school pixel hunting!!! Very very hard to catch (way harder than the umbrella stick! eheh). However, the full game will improve this, having the items a bit more visible (even if some will still be hard to catch.) I think it's a good part of a point'n'click game to move the mouse around to explore everywhere. Originally posted by majkel2111:I have just beaten the demo and I have got 2 questions:ġ) Will there be a "show hotspots" option in the full game for less skilled players? I really had a hard time finding this umbrella stick:/ Also I missed few other items at first.Ģ) I have only found 2 secrets (retro device and the the goo), what were other two?ġ) I personally don't like the "show hotspots", I'm more old school in that sense.
